To clearly and concisely communicate your research to a public audience is no easy feat and yet, it is a critical skill for graduate students to learn. This workshop will focus on written communication and emphasize the importance of writing about research, often heavy with technical terminology and/or dense theory, in an accessible way to a public audience. Clarity, precision, coherence, and concision are crucial elements in communicating your written work effectively to different audiences, and in this workshop we will provide strategies for you to take into your writing. Please come to this workshop with your current research project and ready to do some writing.
