Open Educational Resources: An Introduction

Implementing open educational resources (OER) can be an effective approach for achieving better outcomes for students. This session will provide an overview of the history of OER & the textbook market, and review the research and practice of open textbook use, adoption, adaption, and authoring. We will also discuss OER initiatives spearheaded by the Edmon Low Library towards developing and implementing open educational resources.
