Understanding the Fed: Public Documents and the Federal Reserve System

  • Learning outcomes: This session will discuss the structure, functions, and output of the Federal Reserve System (“Fed”). As the Nation's central bank, the Fed performs five key functions in the public interest to promote the health of the U.S. economy and the stability of the U.S. financial system. We will discuss what public materials the Fed produces in its work performing these functions, along with where and how the materials can be accessed.
