Latino Americans: 500 Years of History

The second screening of the Latino Americans: 500 Years of History will take place at The Peggy V. Helmerich Browsing Room in the Edmon Low Library at 6 p.m. on Oct. 1.

This is a free screening of an episode of the six-part PBS documentary titled, Latino Americans: 500 Years of History. The screening and discussion is brought to the community by the OSU Library. 

The second episode will be screened in the Peggy V. Helmerich Browsing Room, Edmon Low Library on Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. This screening is titled "Prejudice and Pride."

A third episode will be screened at the Stillwater Public Library on Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. 

Cultural food items will be provided at each screening.

The purpose of the event is to increase the awareness of the local Hispanic community and promote the movement to record its history.

Latino Americans: 500 Years of History has been made possible through a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Library Association.
